DECKARD Roy E. Deckard, 52, of Chestnut Street, Liverpool, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at home. He was born Aug. 5, 1953 in Dauphin County to the late Glenn and Evelyn (Shipe) Deckard. For more than 10 years he was a self-employed tractor trailer operator owning his own rig; a 1971 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown; a member of Millerstown and Liverpool fire companies and St. John (Barner's) Lutheran Church, Liverpool and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling at Perry Lanes in New Bloomfield, where he was a member of an adult league and had bowled two 300 games. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Carolyn L. Kipp Deckard; two sons, Michael E. and Matthew R. "Red," both at home; a daughter, Andie J. Deckard of Liverpool; and three sisters, Diane Deckard-Lehman and Glenda Stahl, both of Harrisburg, and Lois Garnett of York. Services were held Sept. 19 in his church with the Rev. Peter H. Kuebler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, handled arrangements. ROY E.
