DELVIN HOCKENBROCH A. Delvin Hockenbroch, 72, of Liverpool RD 1, Juniata County, died on Saturday March 6th, at the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, where he had been taken by ambulance on Friday afternoon following an attack at his home. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemmorhage. Mr. Hockenbroch was born may 9, 1898, at Liverpool RD 1 and was the son of the late Levi Calvin and Annie S. Kerstetter Hockenbroch. He received his education in the schools of Juniata County. Mr. Hockenbroch was employed as a steelworker his entire life, beginning with Renova Steel Co., Renova, later working for Burnham Iron and Steel, and still later with Phoenix Iron and Steel. After many years of service he retired in 1960. In addition to his work as a steelworker he farmed at his residence. In March of 1922, he was united in marriage to the former Arna Grace Bucher, then of Millerstown RD. The couple went to housekeeping at Millerstown RD, and moved to the present address in 1928. Mr. Hockenbroch was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and Sunday School, Liverpool RD 1 and was a trustee of the church at the time of his death. He was also a member of the Liverpool Fire Company. In addition to his widow he is survived by one daughter, Myrna, wife of Clarence Buckley, Liverpool RD 1; three sons, Leslie C. Hockenbroch of Millerstown RD 2, Junior D. and Leon H. Hockenbroch, both of Liverpool RD 1; 19 grandchildren; one brother, Paul L. Hockenbroch of Liverpool RD 1; a foster sister, Miss Sarah Gibson of Selinsgrove; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Ruth Diehl and two brothers, Maynard and Willard Hockenbroch. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 9th at 2 p.m. from the Salem United Methodist Church, Liverpool RD 1, with his pastor, Rev. Ronald Beistline, officiating. Interment followed in Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1. Friends and relatives were received at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, 606 N. Front St., Liverpool on Monday evening. Clipping 1971
