HOCKENBROCH Arna G. Hockenbroch, age 104, a former resident of RR 1, Liverpool, died Sunday morning in the Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool. She was born in Perry County on August 22, 1899, the daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Fawver) Bucher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Hockenbroch in 1971. She was a retired nurse and had been employed at hospitals in Philadelphia and Danville. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, RR 1, Liverpool, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed crocheting. She collected four leaf clovers and at the time of her death had collected over 17,000. She is survived by 2 sons, Leslie C. Hockenbroch and wife, Zelda of RR2, Millerstown and Leon H. Hockenbroch and wife, Audrey of RR 1, Newport; 1 daughter, Myrna R. Buckley and husband, Clarence of RR 2, Liverpool; 1 daughter-in-law, Eleanor F. Hockenbroch of RR 1, Liverpool; and 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Junior D. Hockenbroch, 4 grandchldren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Elmer, Herman, Stanley and Emery. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, 606 North Front Street, Liverpool, with the Rev. Lisa Klinger officiating. Burial will be in Barner's Lutheran Cemetery, RR 1, Liverpool.
