KERSTETTER, SR. NEW CUMBERLAND - Ernest E. Kerstetter Sr., 60, New Cumberland RD2, York County, died Saturday morning in the Harrisburg Hospital, where he had been a patient for six days. He had been hospitalized three times in the last year. He was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Liverpool, a son of the late Ralph Ernest and Nettie Mae Barnes Kerstetter. Mr. Kerstetter was first married to the former Betty Gaugler. In 1969, he married the former Doris Miller. He had been employed by Conrail as a car inspector from 1944 to 1977. Since then, he was the manager of the Meadowbrook Trailer Court in New Cumberland RD2. Mr. Kerstetter lived in Newport until 1980, when he moved to his present address. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Millerstown Moose, the Wormleysburg Athletic Association and the E.P.L.W. Soccer Association. He also belonged to the Transport Workers of America Union, AFL-CIO, Harrisburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepmother, Mrs Pearl Kerstetter of Selinsgrove; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Moore and Mrs Connie Showers, both of Hummelstown, Mrs. Donna Cohick of Newport, and Mrs. Trudy Fox of Etters; three sons, Ernest E. Jr., Camp Hill, Larry G. of Linglestown, and Stephen K. of New Cumberland; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Donna Seiders, New Cumberland; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Johnson of Ickesburg, Mrs. Dorothy Lyter, Loganton, and Mrs. Geraldine Barnes, Blain; seven brothers, Clarence of Liverpool RD1; Lee, Dover, George of Loysville, Herman of Selinsgrove, Alvin of Harrisburg, James of Millersburg, and Robert, Hebron, Ohio. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, by the Rev. John S. Kipp and the Rev. James H. Gold. Burial will be in Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD1. Friends will be received this evening in the funeral home.
