Burd, lately removed from Pittsburg, died at the home of a sister, Mrs. C. C. Cooper, of 710 Third avenue, Juniata, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased lady was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hench (both deceased) and was born in Perry county on October 27, 1877. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Vivian, and also by the following brothers and sisters: W. R. Hench, of Perry county; Rev. E. E. Hench, of Brighton, Mich.; Rev. Charles R. Hench, of Camden, N.J.; Mrs. Alida Morsolias, of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Frank H. Wilson, of Kingston, Ill.; Mrs. Lulu Treverton, also of Seattle; Mrs. E. Katherine Hench, of Pittsburg, and Mrs. C. C. Cooper, of Juniata. Mrs. Burd was a consistent Christian woman and an active member of the Knoxville Christian church, of Pittsburg. Short funeral service will be held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cooper tomorrow evening and will be conducted by the Rev. Alexander Lamberson, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Juniata. On Thursday morning the remains will be taken to Newport for interment.
