HESS DIES AT MARYSVILLE HOME Henry E. Hess, retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and formerly freight trainmaster of the Baltimore Division, died at his home in Maple avenue, Marysville, Sunday. He was 82 years old. Born in Coxestown, Dauphin county, in 1851, he spent the major portion of his life in Marysville. He was employed by the railroad company for fifty-one years prior to his retirement in 1921. He was vice president of the First National Bank of Marysville, served as president of borough council for a number of years and was a member of Buehler Lodge, Knights of Pythias, of Marysville. He is survived by his widow; six children, Miss Catherine Hess and Simon E. Hess, of Marysville; Mrs. James Sibbert and Mrs. Mary Handsley, of Washington; Miss Anna Hess, of Philadelphia, and George A. Hess, of Elmira, N.Y.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Ezra Parks, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial was made in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Additional Comments: Henry was born on 16 Nov 1851. His parents were John Hess and Catherine Myer, both born in Lancaster County. Henry married Mary Jane Eppler 2 March 1873 in Marysville.
