Hess. Surviving are six children: Catherine Hess and Simon Hess, of Marysville; Mrs. James Sibbetts and Mrs. Mary Hardley, of Washington, D.C.; Annie Hess, of Philadelphia, and George Hess, of Elmira, N.Y.; also a sister, Mrs. Sarah Zimmerman, of Steelton. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Ezra Parks, of the Methodist Church. Burial was made in Chestnut Grove cemetery. Additional Comments: Mary Jane's maiden name was Eppler. She was born in Cumberland County on 12 June 1852. Her parents were Simon Eppler, born in Lancaster County and Katherine Hebison, born in Hershey, PA. Mary Jane and Henry Elias were married on 2 March 1873. Mary Jane died of senility and arteriosclerosis. [Data taken from death certificate.
