Long, 64, RR1 Liverpool LIVERPOOL – Donald H. "Moanie" Long, 64, of RR1 Liverpool, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Oriental, Juniata County, a son of the late Howard and Louise Long. He was a 1949 graduate of Greenwood Joint High School, Millerstown. Mr. Long was employed by the Norristown Quarry for 20 years as a front end loader; then by Poloron Homes, Middleburg, as a laborer; was a construction worker for six years at Stabler Construction, Harrisburg; and retired from Liverpool Borough in 1993, following 10 years employment as a laborer. He was a member of the Liverpool Fire Company and Ambulance League and was a social member of American Legion Post 364, Liverpool. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and being outdoors. Mr. Long was a member of St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, RR1 Liverpool. Surviving are one adopted daughter, Diana Spigelmeyer of RR1 Mount Pleasant Mills; two grandchildren; and caregivers Carl "Joe" and Joan Rauch of Liverpool. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, by the Rev. Robert J. Wittlinger Jr., his pastor, assisted by Robert E. Napier. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made to St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, RR1 Liverpool, Pa. 17045 or Professional Hospice Care, 3605 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, Pa. 17110.
