Long, 91, of 500 N. Market St., died yesterday afternoon in the Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool, where she was a guest since Aug. 3, 1982. Born Nov. 4, 1891, in Oriental, Liverpool RD1, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Louisa Hupp Sheaffer. Her husband, George Clayton Long, died in 1966. Mrs. Long was employed for many years, prior to her retirement, in the Liverpool Garment Factory. She was a member of St. John's (Barner's) Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Liverpool RD1. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Witmer of Liverpool RD1 and Mrs. Carrie Shirk of Liverpool; one son, Kenneth S. of Liverpool; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Sallie Gelnett of Mount Pleasant Mills RD2. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, by the Rev. Theodore L. Cockley. Burial will be in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool RD1. Friends may call in the funeral home Saturday evening.
