Long, 84, Dies at Shamokin Dam William H. Long, 84, died Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Warren E. Drumm, of Shamokin Dam. He formerly resided in Sunbury and had been in ill health the past year. Mr. Long was born in Perry County, February 22, 1872, the son of Jacob and Susan Clemens Long, and spent his early life in the Liverpool area. He was a retired repairman for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. His wife preceded him in death in 1939. He was a member of the Shamokin Valley Baptist Church and served as superintendent of the Sunday school of that church. He is survived by six children, Mrs. Ralph Crowl, Mrs. John C. Adams, and Samuel E. Long, of Sunbury; Mrs. Warren E. Drumm, of Shamokin Dam; Clarence D. Long, of R. R. 2, Selinsgrove; Harvey D. Long, of Buffalo, New York; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Annie Barner, of Liverpool. Funeral services were held at Dornsife Funeral Home in Sunbury this afternoon and were continued in the Barner's Lutheran Church in Perry County, near Liverpool. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Truman L. Baker, of Shamokin Valley Baptist Church, officiated.
