    Richard L. Magee, a respected resident of Centre township, died 
  Tuesday morning , December 26, aged almost 82 years.  He began school 
  teaching in 1839, continuing at that profession until 1866.  He served 
  for a number of years as a justice of the peace; also as school 
  director and assessor.  He is survived by a number of children.
