Messimer, 59, Liverpool RD1, Juniata County, died Monday morning, Nov. 19 in the Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, where she had been a patient for two weeks. Born Dec. 20, 1924, at Richfield RD1, Snyder County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Rosetta Dressler Longacre Sheaffer of Richfield RD1 and the late William Guy Longacre. She married Park B. Messimer in 1945. She was a member of Daniel's St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant Mills RD2. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Courtney of Mt. Pleasant Mills RD1 and Mrs. Joyce Burkey of Selinsgrove RD1; two sons, Park E. of White Deer and Robert W. of Liverpool RD1; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Lilliam Shaffer of Mt. Pleasant Mills RD1, Mrs. Cecelia Messimer and Mrs. Joan Schrader, both of Richfield RD1, and Mrs. Shirley Messimer of Mount Pleasant Mills RD2; and four brothers, Guy W. Longacre Jr. of Middleburg RD3, Palmer M. Longacre of Dauphin, Elmer I. and Earl L. Longacre, both of Richfield RD1. The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant MIlls, by the Rev. George V. Peters. Burial was made in Barner's Church Cemetery.
