Messimer, 88, of Millerstown RR2, died at 3:30 a.m., Aug. 10, 1995, at home. She was born June 24, 1907, in Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, a daughter of the late Henry and Linnie (Kell) Boyer. She was married to Edward George Messimer who died in June 1966. A homemaker and mother, Mrs. Messimer attended Oriental schools in Juniata County. She was a Protestant. Mrs. Messimer was a member of the Richfield Ambulance League. An accomplished baker and cook, her hobbies included crocheting and floral gardening. Mrs. Messimer is survived by four sons, George H. of Richfield RR1; James A., Charles B. and David W., all of Millerstown RR2; a daughter, Helen L. Frantz of Apopka, Fla.; a sister, Anna Michaels of Selinsgrove; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Park B., in 1987; and a great-great- grandson in infancy. The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday from the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Pleasant Mills, by the Rev. Almon D. Baird. Burial will be in St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RR1.
