Messimer Park Boyer Messimer, 63, of Liverpool RD1, died Wednesday afternoon, March 11, in his home. Born February 6, 1924, in Liverpool RD1, he was a son of Mrs. Ida (Boyer) Messimer of Millerstown RD2, and the late Edward W. Messimer. In 1945, he married the former Helen K. Longacre, who died in 1984. Mr. Messimer was employed for a number of years at Harrisburg Steel Corp. and, until his retirement in 1984, he was employed at Conrail. He was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Messimer was a member of the International Association of Machinists, the Aerospace Union, and the Liverpool Fire Company. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Courtney of Mount Pleasant Mills RD1, and Mrs. Joyce Burkey of Selinsgrove RD2; two sons, Park E. of White Deer, and Robert W. of Liverpool RD1; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Helen Frantz of Richfield RD1, and James, Charles and David, all of Millerstown RD2. The funeral was conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, at the George P. Garman Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant Mills by the Rev. Timothy W. Bingham. He was buried in Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool.
