Peifer, 91, Northumberland NORTHUMBERLAND – Mrs. Amy V. Peifer, 91, of 652 ½ Orange St., died Friday at Sunbury Community Hospital where she had been a patient since May 6. She was a former Sunbury resident. Born in Liverpool RD, April 8, 1896, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Stroup Miller. Her husband, Harvey C. Peifer, died in 1955. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Liverpool RD, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union. She is survived by two children, Kenneth R. Peifer, Sr., and Thelma L. Neidig, both of Sunbury; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. David Brinker, pastor of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Barners Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD. Visitors may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
