Roush, 64, of 511 Tenth Street died shortly after 12 A.M. Wednesday in Geisinger Medical Center, where she was transferred from the Sunbury Hospital after being taken ill at the Sunbury YMCA Tuesday morning. The daughter of the late John Walter and Ethel Leitzel Kline, she was born in Perry County September 19, 1922, and grew up in the Hummels Wharf area. A graduate of Selinsgrove High School, she was married to Wendell M. Roush in 1941. Except for a brief stay in New York state, they have resided in Selinsgrove throughout their married life. Mrs. Roush was a member of the Arthritis Foundation, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. An avid believer in sports and exercise, she was a volunteer staff member at the Sunbury Y, where she swam regularly. In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Sue Alford, of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Janice Hughey, of Williamsport and Miss Wendy Roush of Albany, New York. She also leaves three granddaughters. A funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family by Mrs. Mary Potter, associate minister of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. The burial will also be private. There will be no viewing. The Donald F. Weirick Funeral Home, Selinsgrove is in charge of arrangements. The family has asked that memorials be contributed to the Sunbury YMCA.
