SHEAFFER, 57, Liverpool LIVERPOOL – Lewis C. "Lew" Sheaffer, 57, of Liverpool, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996, at his home. He had been under hospice care for the past year. He was born June 15, 1939, in Perry County, a son of the late MacDonald Charles and Olive (Reisinger) Sheaffer. On Oct. 3, 1959, he married the former Donna Lou Hockenbroch. Mr. Sheaffer was a 1957 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown. He served in the Navy. Retiring in 1988 after 27 years, he was employed as a computer specialist at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. Mr. Sheaffer was a member of the Liverpool United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Liverpool Fire Company and Ambulance League; the Middleburg Blue Lodge 619 Free and Accepted Masons; the Harrisburg Consistory; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 65, Sunbury; the Zembo Temple of Harrisburg; the Perry-Juniata Shrine Club; and the Snyder-Northumberland Scottish Rite Club. In addition to his wife, surviving are one daughter, Louann M. Sheaffer of Harrisburg. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Liverpool United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles T. Tressler, church pastor. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted prior to the funeral by the Middleburg Blue Lodge. Burial will be in St. John (Barners) Lutheran Cemetery, RR1 Liverpool. Visitors may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
