Spicher, 67, Millerstown RD2, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, where he was admitted Sept. 16, following a heart attack. Mr. Spicher was under the care of a physician since 1972 for a heart condition. He received his education in the Perry and Snyder County schools. Following his education, he farmed for a number of years. Later Mr. Spicher worked on highway construction. In 1940, he began employment for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a car inspector at the Enola yards. He retired in 1968. In 1938, he was married to the former Mary Sweigart of Liverpool RD1, who survives. The couple lived in Liverpool until moving to their address in 1963. Born July 24, 1907, at Liverpool, he was the son of the late Cyrus W. and Lillian Kerstetter Spicher. Mr. Spicher was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Millerstown RD2; the Transport Worker's Union, Local 2016, Enola; the Liverpool Fire Company, and the Richfield Fire Company. In addition to his widow, he is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Carrie Zellers of Sunbury; a foster daughter, Miss Beatrice Sweigart, at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Boyer of Kreamer, and Mrs. Ray Sheaffer of Liverpool. The funeral service was conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool. The Rev. Earl G. Koehler officiated. Burial was made in the Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD1.
