Strawser Sr., 95, of Liverpool RD1 died at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 1995, at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, where he was taken earlier. He was born April 1, 1900, in Liverpool, a son of the late Edward C. and Alice (Funk) Strawser. On Jan. 31, 1926, he was married to the former Charlotte A. Hoffman. She died in 1973. Mr. Strawser attended Dry Sawmill School, Liverpool. He was a carpenter and member of Union Local No. 287, Harrisburg. He was associated with Jehovah's Witnesses, Elliotsburg. Surviving are three daughters, Velma Kerstetter of McAlisterville, Mayetta Ferguson of Thompsontown and Aleda Fisher of Millerstown; three sons, Benjamin, Gerald and Chester, all of Liverpool; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one brother, George A. Strawser of Liverpool. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Strawser and Walter Zellers; one sister, Emma Barner; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, by Dennis Orwin. Burial will be in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool. Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
