Sweigart WILLOW GROVE – Jacob Samuel Sweigart, 72, of 124 Dallas Road, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in the Abington Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken several hours following a heart attack in his home. Mr. Sweigart had been under the care of a physician for a heart condition for the past several years. Born June 11, 1906, in Liverpool RD1, Perry County, he was a son of the late Henry Jacob and Emma Elizabeth Funk Sweigart. In 1935, he married the former Thelma Louise Leonard, who survives. The couple lived in the Philadelphia area since their marriage. Mr. Sweigart was a retired employee of the Sweigart Brothers Construction Co., Willow Grove. He was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church; Senior Citizens Center of Glenside; and Local 972 Carpenters and Joiners Union, Philadelphia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Peoples of Cedars; three sons, Charles H. of Mission Viejo, Calif., Ernest S. of Willow Grove and Theodore, at home; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Spicher of Liverpool and Mrs. Albert J. Kantz of Selinsgrove RD3; and one brother, Clayton L. of Selinsgrove RD3. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in George P. Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, by the Rev. Robert T. Gray Jr. Burial will be in Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD1. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday evening. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Thursday from noon until the time of the service.
