All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Anne Stone astone3988@aol.com December 14, 2004, 12:54 am Source: Drawer G #9 Perry County Courthouse Written: August 2 1846 WILL OF JOHN GARMAN b 27 AUG 1790 d 6 AUG 1846 In the name of Almighty God Amen, I John Garman of the Township of Wheatfield in the county of Perry and State of Pennsylvania being very sick, but of sound mind and memory (blysed the almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following,-That is to say first I i give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine Garman all my personal goods and chattels absolutely and my plantation being and lying in Wheatfield Township county and State aforesaid during her natural life and after her death my daughter Susanna Garman shall have the upper part of the said plantation which lies above the run, and my daughter Sarah Alter shall have the lower part of said plantation being and lying in Middle Paxton township Dauphin County and State aforesaid, the son(?) John Garman to pay to my daughter Mary's children the several sums in the manner following. First the said John Garman is to pay to Mary Stees the sum of four hundred dollars as soon as she becomes twenty one years of age and to pay to Rebecca Stees the sum of two hundred dollars as soon as she becomes twenty one years of age and also pay to John Stees Jr. the sum of tow hundred dollars as soon as he becomes twenty one years of age and also to pay to Catherine Stees the sum of two hundred dollars as soon as she becomes of age of aforesaid and the said John Garman shall give unto my beloved wife Catherine Garman the one half of the proceeds of said farm during her natural life or if she should live longer then till the above mentioned children become of age then he shall not pay said proceeds any longer and further I do hereby appoint my son John Garman my sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I as well as other the witnesses have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six.
