Filed the 9 August A.D. 1827 [End of page] [Beginning of document] In the Name of God Amen, I Jacob Harman of Juniata Township Perry County and state of pennsylvania being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, praised be god for it, and considering the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time there of and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall pleaze God, to call me hence, do therefore make and Declare this my Last will and Testament in Manner following, as to such worldy Estate where with it hath pleased God to entrust me I dispose of the same as followeth,--- I will that all my Just debts as shall be by me arrising at my death, Together with my funeral Expences and all charges Touching the proving of or otherwise concerning this my will shall in the first be paid, then my will is first I Give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth one fether bed beding and bedstead of her own choice of all my beds, and one chest ___ the blue chest, one cow the bell, one windsor chair and one splint bottom chair, also the ten plate stove which stands in my room with pipe, and one Iron pot of her choice and skillet and such kitchen furniture as she will think nessiary for her own use also the wool, now in the house and all that will be shaved off my sheep this spring. I Give and bequeath to my son George Harman my bay horse and one smooth rifle gun. I also Give and bequeath to my son Daniel Harman my young bay horse and rifle gun. I also Give and bequeath to my Two sons George and Daniel all my share of the grain that is now in the ground, Except so much as will be necessary for my wife Elizabeth and family one year after my Decease, it is further my will, that my Executor hereinafter named shall Take an Iventory of all my farming utensils, Horses, cows, sheep and hogs and all my household furniture Except what I have herein bequeathed to my wife Elizabeth and my two sons George and Daniel, which I will shall remain on premises whare they now are the use of my wife and and my Two sons George & Daniel until the first day of November then it is my will that my Executor shall sell by public sale, and Devide the proceeds amongst my wife Elizabeth and all my children, namely Jacob Harman, John Harman, Henry Harman, Philip Harman, Catharine Long, Elizabeth Long, Margret Patten, Susana Clouser, George Harman and Daniel Harman share and share alike, it is further my will that all the Grain my two sons George and Daniel shall rais shall be their own Except so much as will be suffecient for my wife Elizabeth for bred, for one year, after the Expiration of the Year afore mentioned, and I nominate and appoint John Rumbaugh Executor of this my Last will and Testament in witness whare of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty sevanth day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty-seven.
