All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Cathy Wentz ctwentz@aol.com February 9, 2008, 5:54 pm Source: M132; Henry Mumper, Dec'd (perry Historians Library) Written: March 12, 1835 Recorded: March 19, 1835 M-132 Henry Mumper dec'd Last Will & Testament Filed 19 March 1835 The last will and Testament of Henry Mumper of Toboyne Township Perry county In the name of God Amen I Henry Mumper being weak in body but being of a sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testiment in manner and form following that is to say First I allow that all my just debts and Funeral expences be paid Items I give and bequeth unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Mumper three cows Six sheep Six hogs and stove four beds and bedding and as much of the kitchen furniture as she thinks she stands in need of And thirty bushels of wheat fifteen of rye And five of corn per year for three years and thirty bushels of grain per year untill the property is sold and one half of acre of ground per year for potatoes and after the property is sold and all the debts and expense paid she is to draw one third of the interest of the remaing money while she lives a widow and she is to have pasture and hay sufficient and stable room for the cows and sheep and the still house is to be repaired for her to live in untill the property is sold and then she is to have a house & lot bought for her where she plases in the neiborhood not to exceed in vallu five or six hundred dollers and she is to have Twenty doller of money per year for the three first years Item2 I bequeth unto my children that shall be living all the rest of my money which shall remain after my debts is paid and the widows dower take out with share and share alike with the exception of my daughter Maryann Baker who is have Thirty dollers less than any of the rest And further I allow my executors to make sale of my moveable property as soon after my decease as possible provideded my real estate can be rented or let on the shares and futher I allow my four tracts of Woodland to be sold as soon as possible and further I give my executors power to sell and convey my real estate wenever they think best for the advantage of my children And it is my desire that my wif shall have the priviledge of raising four hogs every year which shall be pastured with the tennants hogs and further I will that the lot of ground (before stated) which shall be purchase for my wife shall after her decease be divided amongst my surviving heirs share and share alike and further I will that my wife shall have the use of three rows of apletrees in the far side of the orcherd from house untill the place is sold andfurther I empower my executor provided any item here is omitted to __ it to the best advantage for my wife and children And I make and ordain Abraham Snyder and Thomas M _____ executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Thirty five. William Stump James Adams Perry County SS This nineteenth day of March AD 1835 Before me John McKeehan Esquire Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Perry personally came William Stump and James Adams the subscribing witnesses to the within and forgoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Henry Mumper late of Toboyne township Perry County deceased Who being duly sworn according to Law did depose and say that they were present and saw and heard the within named testator sign seal publish pronounce and declare the within and foregoing instrument of writing as and for his testament and Last Will and that at the time of so doing he was of perfect and sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief Sworn & subscribed Before me the day and year aforesaid.
