I, Henry Sunday, Senior, of Tyrone Township in the County of Perry and State of Pennsylvania, being in perfect health of body and of sound mind, memory and understanding. Blessed be God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the following manner to be it. Principally, and first of all, I commend my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner. And as to such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner: It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease. And I give and bequeath my dear wife Maryan Sunday three beds, bedsteads and as many bed cloaths as she may choss to keep--also the clock, cobard, dresser, and all the teaware, plates and dishes in and about the same. Also the tin plate stove and chest; tables, chairs and as much of my house hold furniture and kitchen linnen and woolen yarn and cloath which may be in my house or elsewhere belonging to me at my decease. And also two good milch cows--And further it is my will that all the money, bonds and notes due and coming to me after paying my debts and the legacyes as will be shoon hereafter are to remain in the ossession of my said wife, and she is to have as much of the money as she may need for her own use during her life. But she is not to dispose of any "articles" nor lend any money to any of my children or to any other person until good bail shall be given for the payment of the same to my Executors for the use of my children. And further it is my will that my said wife is to have privilage to hire a girl to do her work whose wages is to be paid out of my Estate. And further it is my will that my said wife is to have and occupy the house wherein we now live, also the garden and spring house for her to live in during her life (or so long as she remains my widow), and she is to have all the privileges and receive all the articles of and from Henry Sunday, Jr. and John Sunday as mentioned for her use in the Articles of Agreement between myself and the said Henry Sunday and John Sunday relation. And further it is my will and I do order that as soon as conveniently be after the decease of my said wife all the property which she may then have which belonged to my Estate is to be sold and the money received for the same and also the money then in her hands is to be divided equally amongst all my children except her bed and bed cloths and her wering apperal which is to be divided equally among my daughters, and further it is my will that my wering apperal is to be divided among my sons. And whereas my son Jacob Sunday has received three hundred and twenty five pounds, my son Henry Sunday has received three hundred and twenty five pounds, and my son John Sunday has also received three hundred and twenty five pounds, and my daughter Magdalena Road has received one hundred and sixty pounds being in part of their shares of my Estate respectively, and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Maryan Bensil the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds, and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elisebeth Kell the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds, and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Christiana Trostel the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds, and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Magdalana Rode the sum of forty pounds, and I give and bequeath unto my grandson Daniel Rode (son of the said Magdalana) the sum of fifty pounds--and the several sums of money respectively bequeathed is to be paid by my two sons Henry Sunday and John Sunday in yearly payments as the money becomes due from them the said Henry and John. As in and by the said above recited Article of Agreement will more fully appears. And the money is to be paid to my daughter Elisebeth Kell on the first day of April which will be in the second year after my decease. And the third payment of fifty pounds is to be paid to my daughter Cristana Trostel. The fourth payment of fifty pounds is to be paid to my daughter Maryan Benzil, the fifth yearly payment of fifty pounds is to be paid to my daughter Elisebeth Kell, and the sixth payment of fifty pounds to be paid to my daughter Cristana Trostel, and so on in the same order until the said Maryan Bensil, Elisebeth Kell and Cristana Trostel shall have received one hundred and fifty pounds each. Then my daughter Magdelana Rode is to receive the sum of forty pounds which is the sum bequeathed to her and then the said Maryan Bensil, Elisebeth Kell and Cristana Trostel are to receive fifty pounds each as it becomes due and in the same order as before. Then my grandson Daniel Road is to receive the fifty pounds when due, it being the sum bequeathed to him and then the said Maryan Bensil, Elisebeth Kell and Cristana Trostel are to receive the money as it becomes due in the same order as before until they shall have received the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds each, the sum bequeathed to them the said Maryan, Elisebeth and Cristana respectively. And further it is my will that if the said Daniel Rode shall dye having no lawful heirs in which case his mother (the said Magdelana Rode) to receive the said fifty pounds bequeathed to them, such shares as may be unpaid at their death is to be divided amongst their children respectively. And my two sons Henry and John are to give bonds to the legatees as soon as can conveniently be after my decease for the payment of said yearly payments--Agreeable to the before Resited Article--At which time my Executors or the Survivor of them are to convey the land which I sold to the said Henry and John clear of all incumbrance--Except what the said Henry and John are to give to my said wife and the privileges which she is to have on said land which is to be a lean on said land, it being particularly mentioned in said agreement--And after the death of my said wife the said land to be clear of all incumbrance--And if there is any property left after my decease which my said wife dose not chose to keep, it is to be sold and the money to remain in the hands of my said wife as aforesaid. And lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my said wife Maryan Sunday, John Miller and Henry T_tsel all of Tyrone Township, Perry County, to be the Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills, legacy, and bequeaths by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I, Henry Sunday, the testato to this my Will set my hand and seal this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
