They lived in Wayne County, NC in 1790. In 1820 Thomas MUSGRAVE, Sr. appears in census of Lawrence County. Upon his death Davy Crockett was to buy some of Thomas' household goods from Musgrave's daughters. [Nellie Pernina MUSGRAVE married Emanuel KELTNER. Emanuel KELTNER was security bond for Bennett MUSGRAVE when he married Anna ROBINSON in 1821]. William MUSGRAVE must have been a brother of Thomas MUSGRAVE, Sr. as he came from Philadelphia to help settle land squabble in Greene County, IL. William was a drygoods merchant in Philadelphia. Marsha HOFFMAN RISING writes: my study includes Jonas MUSGRAVE, Isaac W. ROBINSON, and James ROBINSON. [Jonas is listed on 52 Texas 50, Ellsworth area, near John VINCENT II and wife Melinda MUSGRAVE. Old James ROBINSON is compiler's great-great grandfather, as he is likely sire of first wife of Bennett H. MUSGRAVE, Anna who died MO post-1842. Jonas Quimby MUSGRAVE was probably full name; see 1790 census of Wayne County, NC; near John and Joel MUSGRAVE (of Chester County, PA) are Jonas QUIMBY and Burrell WESTBROOKE. Sarah BENNETT is two names distant from Thomas MUSGRAVE. Thomas MUSGRAVE, Sr's. probable sons were William, Joshua, Jonas, and Thomas Jr. Jonas was born ca 1795 in NC. He was in Henry County, MO in 1840. Compiled by : Elizabeth EVANS BARNES
