On the Sixteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and ten Personally came before Alexander Tod. Esq. one of the Alderman of the City aforesaid, Edward Davies five feet 6 ½ inches high, with his shoes, fair complexion, Brown hair, 27 years of age, marked with the small pox, small scare on his left jaw bone, scare on little finger left hand, mark of two scares on four finger left hand being legally sworn, says, that according to the best of his knowledge, he was born Beaufort, in the State of North Carolina. At the same time appeared John Allen being also sworn, says, that he has known and been well acquainted with said Edward Davies was born at the place aforesaid.
