Norton Esquire, one of the Justices of the Peace, in and for the County of Philadelphia, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, personally appeared Henry Litchfield an AMERICAN SEAMAN, aged twenty four years, or thereabouts, of the height of Five feet five 1/2 inches, has chesnut hair, hazle eyes, and dark complexion, has a scar on the left side of his throat who being duly Sworn did depose and say, That he is a native of Newbern in the State of North Carolina and a Citizen of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. his Henry X Litchfield Mark AND Stephen Riggs being duly Sworn did depose and say, That the facts above stated are true according to the best of his knowledge and belief.
