Philadelphia City, SS

On the  Twelvth  day of  May  one thousand eight hundred and  nine  Personally 
came before John Douglass, Esq. one of the Aldermen of the City aforesaid  
Neptune Charles Pamcutt,  five  feet  three & half  inches high,  dark  
complexion,  dark brown  hair, Sixteen  years of age, marked  with a Scar on 
his forehead and one on the outside of his left leg,  being legally sworn, 
says, that according to the best of his knowledge, he was born  at Sea near 
America.

At the same time appeared  Sarah Evans  who being also sworn, says, that he 
has known and been well acquainted with said  Neptune Charles Pamcutt  
_________ years, and that according to the best of his knowledge and belief, 
he the said  Neptune Charles Pamcutt  was born at the place aforesaid. Witness 
my Hand and Seal, the day and year first written.
