On this Twelfth Day of April in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten 
Before me Benjamin Nones, Esquire, Notary Public of the Commonwealth of 
Pennsylvania, duly commissioned and authorized by Law to administer Oaths and 
Affirmations, dwelling in the City of Philadelphia, personally came and 
appeared John Pearce of said City  Painter and Glaizer who being duly Sworn 
according to Law, on his solemn oath deposes and says, that his son Robert 
Pearce was about four years of age when he arrived from England that he was 
naturalized at the supreme court of Pennsylvania on the Sixteenth day of 
February one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine his son son Robert being 
then a minor and now on and twenty years of age, five feet seven inches high, 
dark hair, hazel Eyes, stout nose, Round chin, Pock’d mark face, dark 
complexion.
