Deed Book E F 26 page 132-133 Dated 6 Sep 1806 FHL# 0021955 Jacob Edwards & Others To Dillaplain Ridgway This Indenture Made the sixth day of September in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and six Between Jacob Edwards late of the City and County of Philadelphia Taylor but now of Delaware County in the State of Pennsylvania and Lydia his wife and Aaron Boker of the said City of Philadelphia Taylor and Sarah his wife of the one part And Dillaplain Ridgway of the said City of Philadelphia Bricklayer of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jacob Edwards of Lydia his wife & Aaron Boker and Sarah his Wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Two thousand Dollars lawful Money of the United States to them paid by the said Dillaplain Ridgway at the time of the Execution hereof the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained sold released and Confirmed and by these presents Do grant bargain sell release and Confirm unto the said Dillaplain Ridgway his Heirs and Assigns All those Two three story Brick Messuage or Tenements and lot or piece of ground thereto belonging Situate on the south side of Sassafran{?} Street at the distance of forty nine feet Eastward from Delaware Eighth Street in the said City Containing in Breadth East and West twenty five feet and in length or depth north and south One hundred and forty four feet Bounded Westward by ground now or late of Perry Hall Southward by ground now or late of Nicholas Wyrich Eastward by ground now or late or William Rudolph and Northward by Sassafran{?} Street aforesaid Being the same lot or piece of ground which Jonathan Burosa Esquire High Sheriff of the said City & County of Philadelphia by his Deed poll under his hand & Seal Duly Executed and acknowledged bearing date the Ninth day of April Anno Domini 1798 granted and Conveyed to the said Jacob Edwards and Aaron Boker in fee as tenants in Bowman Subject to the payment of a yearly rent Charge or sum of thirty three Spanish Milled Silver Dollars (Page 133) and One third of a Dollar and taxes thereon Seised on and sold as the Estate of David Edwards deceased as at and by the said recited Deed poll fully appeared Together with all & Singular the Buildings Improvements Ways Waters Water Courses Rights Liberties Priviledges Herditaments and appurtainences Whatsoever unto the said hereby granted premises belonging or in anywise appurtaining and the revision Remainder Rests Issues and Profit thereof and also all the Estate Rights Title Interest Property Claims & Demand Whatsoever of them the said Jacob Edwards and Lydia his wife and Aaron Boker and Sarah his Wife either be Liew of Equity of into and out of the same To have and to hold the said Two three Story Brick Messuage or Tenements And described lot or piece of ground Hereditaments and Primises hereby granted with the Appurtenances to the said Dillaplain Ridgway his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of the said Dillaplain Ridgway his Heirs and Assigns forever Under and Subject to the aforesaid Yearly Rent or sum of thirty three Dollars and One third of a Dollar as the same shall from and after the first day of May last Accrue and grow due and payable unto James Trimble his Heirs and Assigns forever free and Clear of All Deductions or Abetements for Taxes or Assessments and the said Jacob Edwards and Aaron Boker for themselves and there Heirs Respectively all and singular the Premises hereby granted with the appurtenances to the said Dellaplain Ridgway his Heirs And Assigns Subject as aforesaid against them the said Jacob Edward and Aaron Boker and their Heirs Respectively and against All and every other Person or Persons Whatsoever Lawfully Claiming or to Claim by from or under them or Either or any of them Shall Warrant and forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said parties have here unto interchangeably set there hands and Seals the day and year first above written Sealed and wife & Aaron Boker and Sarah his wife and Acknowledged the above Written indenture to be there and Each of there act and Deed and desired the same Might be Recorded as such The said Lydia and Sarah being each of full age and privately Examined by me apart from there Respective Husbands declared they Executed the said Indenture Voluntarily and of there own free will and accord without any
