The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** City Archives, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Deed Book SHF-2 Page 738 Thomas Higgins et ux to Henry Winemore Know all Men by these presents that Thomas Higgins of the City of Philadelphia Victualler and Ann his Wife in consideration of the sum of One Dollar to them in hand paid by the within named Henry Winemore at the time of the execution hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these presents Do grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said Henry Winemore his heirs and assigns a certain strip or piece of Ground situate at the distance of Fifty four feet six inches Northward from the North side of Johns Street and at the distance of One hundred and five feet Eastward from the East side of Second Street in the District of Southwark in the County of Philadelphia Containing in Breadth North and South Five feet six inches and in length East and West parallel with John Street thirteen feet including at the Southeasterly Corner thereof an apartment of a privy House and part of a Privy Well Bounded on the West by the lot described in the within written indenture on the Southeast and North by Ground belonging to the said Thomas Higgins Being Northwestermost part of the second described of Two lots of Ground which George C. Snyder and Eleona his wife by Indenture dated the thirteenth day of October A.D. One thousand Eight hundred and twenty six Recorded at Philadelphia in Deed Book G.W.R. No. 10 Page 505. did grant and convey unto the said Thomas Higgins in fee Together with the Rights Members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the Reversions Remainders Rent Issues and Profits thereof To Have and to Hold the same premise hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Henry Winemore his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Henry Winemore his heirs and assigns forever Subject Nevertheless to a fair proportional part of the expenses accruing from time to time and all all times forever in cleaning the said Privy-well and Keeping the same Privy and well in repair In Witness whereof the said Thomas Higgins and Ann his wife have hereunto set this respective hands and seals this thirty-first Day of May Anno Domini One Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty-eight Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of us. The said Ann being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband the full contents of the said Deed Poll being by me made known to her declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord without any compulsion or coercion of her said husband or any undue influence whatever Executed the said Deed Poll.
