The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Abstracted from City Archives, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Deed Book IH-5 page 39 April 8, 1784 Philip Winnemore et to Charles Finney This indenture made between Philip Winnemore of the City of Philadelphia, Yeoman, and Barbara, his wife of the one part and Charles Finney of the said city, Carpenter of the other part, witnesseth that Philip Winnemore and Barbara, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Ninety Pounds do convey… A certain lot or piece of ground part of a lot purchased by the said Philip Winnemore by Deed dated the 17th day of September 1782 from Luke Morris and Mary, his Wife, situate on the South side of South street in the District of Southwark containing in breadth on South Street fifteen feet and in length or depth thirty eight feet or thereabouts. Bounded on the East by other part of said lot purchased or aforesaid on the South by ground late of Alexander Alexander deceased, on the West by ground of Robert Timpest and on the North by South Street aforesaid. And whereas there is a frame building erected on the lot of ground adjoining the ground hereby conveyed to the said Charles Finney which covers about six inches of the said Charles Finney’s ground and which the same Charles Finney, his heirs, etc. agree that the same shall not be removed by any act of his on them within the space of forty years from the date of this, but that if the said six inches of ground at any time within the said forty years by accident or otherwise becomes vacant, then the said Charles Finney, his heirs, etc., shall and may take possession thereof.
