Shriner and made oath that he never recd. Pension from this or any other of the United States from the time of his discharge Sept. 1782. Christopher Shreiner Sworn Jany. 12h, 1786 Christp. Shriner Disch. 1st Sept. 1782 Quere. if no pension hath been ordered under the late Act for paying Pensioners. None to my knowledge. J. Haley ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At an Orphans Court held at Philadelphia for the City and County of Philadelphia the ninth day of September in the year of our Lord 1786, Before Plunket Fleeson Esquire and his associate Justices of the same Court. Pursuant to an Act of Assembly passed the twenty second day of September 1785, the Court having examined and considered the case of Christopher Shryner late a Serjeant in the first South Carolina regiment and from thence transferred to the regiment of Invalids, aged about twenty six years, find that he was discharged from the said Invalid regiment on the first day of September 1782 on account of a wound received in his right thigh at Savannah in 1779. The Court do therefore adjudge that he is entitled to a Pension of five Dollars per month to be paid him agreeable to the directions of the aforesaid Act of Assembly.
