Philadelphia Public Ledger   March 31, 1840
Deaths

      “On the 30th inst., in the 5th year of his age, ____ Henry, son Henry and
Mary Ann _ACHLER.
      “The friends and acquaintences of the family are respectfully invited to
attend the funeral, (without further notice,) from the residence of his parents, 
____ North Front street, tomorrow afternoon _ o'clock where a discourse will be 
delivered.  Funeral to proceed to Monument Cemetery.”

      “On the 29th inst., Sarah BURKHARD, widow of the late Andrew Burkhard, in 
the 28th year of her age.
      “Her friends and acquaintences , and those of her family, are respectfully
invited to attend her funeral from her mother's residence, Pennsylvania Avenue, 
No. 12, this afternoon, 31st inst., at 3 o'clock, without further notice.”

      “On the 29th inst., after a protracted illness, Mr. Joseph J. ALLISON, in 
the
25th year of his age.”

      “On the 28th inst., Mrs. Margaret TIERS, relict of the late John D. Tiers, 
of
New York, in her 9-th [90?] year.”

      “On the 28th inst., in the 3d year of her age, ____  ____, daughter of the
Rev. John A. CLARK.”
