ARMSTRONG.-On the 28th instant, Mrs. ANN ARMSTRONG, in the 48th year of her age.
  Smooth, gently, softly, while ye weep,
  Her brow that death may seem like sleep,
  And closed her hands in sign of rest.
  Her patient hands; across her breast,
    Dear Mother
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral, from the residence of her husband, David Armstrong, No. 2044 North 
Seventh street, on Sunday, at 1 o'clock. Funeral to proceed to Germantown.
 
BALL.-On the 28th instant, MARGARET, daughter of John and Jane Ball, aged 4 
months.
 
BARRINGTON.-On the 29th instant, LIZZIE, daughter of John and Elizabeth 
Barrington, aged one year and 1 month.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral, from the residence of her parents, No. 931 Christian street, this  
(Friday) afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Interment at Cathedral Cemetery.
 
BATES.-On the 28th instant, of paralysis of the brain, EMMA, eldest daughter of 
Robert and Mary Bates.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral, from the residence of her parents, 730 South Eighth street, on Saturday 
afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
 
BEST.-On the 27th int., at Harrisburg, Mrs. LYDIA BEST, relict of the late Rev. 
David Best of the Philadelphia M. E. Conference, age 70 years.
Funeral will take place at Norristown Cemetery this (Friday) afternoon, the 30th 
instant, at 1 o'clock.
 
BISHOP.-At Chesterville, near Morrestown, N. J. on Thursday morning, the 29th, 
Mrs. JANE BISHOP, wife of Jeremiah Bishop, in the 33d year of her age, youngest 
daughter of Alexander and Mary Borden.
The friends and relatives respectfully invited to attend her funeral, Saturday 
afternoon, at 2 o'clock. To proceed to Bridgeboro M. E. Church.
 
BURROWS.-Suddenly on the 29th inst., ANNIE S., daughter of Thomas H. and Mary 
Burrows, in the 5th year of her age.
