TAYLOR.-Entered into rest, on the 15th inst., MATTIE, the beloved wife of Joseph 
A. S. Taylor, and daughter of the late William and Margaret Henderson, aged 25 
years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully inv'td to attend 
the funeral, on Friday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from her late residence, 400 
Ashmead street, Germantown. Interment at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
 
THACKARA.-On September 15, 1896, BENJAMIN THACKARA, Sr., in the 77th year of his 
age. Funeral services on Friday morning, September 18, at 10 o'clock, from his 
late residence, 1830 Race street. Interment private.
 
THOMPSON,-On September 1, at London, England, JOHN THOMPSON, son of Mary A. and 
the late Thomas Thompson. The relatives and friends of the family are 
respectfully invited to attend the funeral services, at the residence of his 
mother, N0. 1327 Spring Garden street, on Thursday morning, the 17th inst., at 
11 o'clock. Interment private.
 
THORNTON.-On September 14, 1896, ALFRED THORNTON, in his 52nd year. Relatives 
and friends of the family, also the employes of the United state's Appraisers' 
office and Progressive Democratic Association, are respectfully invited to 
attend the funeral services, at his late residence, 2127 North Twenty-second 
street, on Wednesday, 16th inst., at 1 P. M. Interment private.
 
TYSON.-On Ninth Month, 13th day,  1896, at 1732 North Tenth street, 
Philadelphia, ELIZABETH G. TYSON, aged 83 years. the relatives and friends of 
the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services, on 
Wednesday, 16th inst., at 12 o'clock, at the Friends' Meeting House, Mullica 
Hill, N. J.
 
VINYARD.-On September 13, 1896, FRANCES, relict of William C. Vinyard. The 
relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral services, on Wednesday, at 3 o'clock, at her late residence, No. 1502 
North Twelfth street. Interment strictly private.
 
WALP.-On September 12, 1896, HANNAH, wife of John Walp, aged 77 years. The 
relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral, on Thursday morning, at 10 o'clock, from her late residence, N0 216 
East Broad street, Quakertown, Pa. Services and interment at Richlandtown.
 
WARD.-On September 11, 1896, suddenly, HUGH WARD, Sr., aged 55 years. The 
relatives and friends of the family, also the Passyunk Mutual Association, are 
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Wednesday morning, at 8:30 
o'clock, from his late residence, 1430 South Sixth street. Solemn requiem mass 
at the Sacred Heart Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

St. Au--- Church. Interment at Holy Cross.
