CORNWELL, that the evidence before Coroner showed the unfortunate woman to have been addicted to intemperance. Since yesterday, we have conversed with a highly respectable le gentleman of this city, in whose family the deceased has taught music; they have known her thirty years, and they never knew her to be guilty of anything of this kind. On the contrary, her conduct has been exemplary, and for a long time before her marriage and since, she has moved in the most respectable circles, first as a companion, and finally, when reduced in circumstances, as a teach. Her maiden name was HELEN MARIA STEVENS, she was connect with respectable families in this city, and was a cultivated and accomplished woman. Her necessities and sensibilities led to the rash act which terminated her existence. This file is located at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/obits/c/cornwell-hm.txt
