M. Augustus Crowl

M. Augustus Crowl, fo many years a resident of East Nottingham Township, died 
on May 8, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. J. Pratt, near West Chester, at 
the age of 85 after an illness of a week.  Mr. Crowl was the son of J. Latta 
and Rachel Gibson Crowl.  for many years he was engaged in farming near Maple 
Grove school.  For about twenty years he lived in Philadelphia.  He was an 
elder of many years in Oxford United Presbyterian church and seerved as an 
elder in the Fifth W. P. Chruch of Philadelphia.  He is survived by his widow, 
Mary E. Groff, of Hopewell, and by seven children.  The funeral services are 
being held at the home of his son, Eben M. Crowl, East Nottingham this 
afternoon to be followed by interment in Oxford Cemetery.
