The agitator.: (Wellsborough, Tioga County, Pa.): November 04, 1863
The Rev. Samuel B. Dalrymple, rector of the Episcopal Church of this borough, died
on last Tuesday morning at 1 o’clock in the 30th year of his age. He was born in
Philadelphia and received his classical education at Union College, Schenectady, N.
Y., and pursued his theological studies at the Alexandria (Va.) Seminary. His first
parish was at Lock Haven, Pa., where he remained about five years; from thence he
came to Honesdale in May 1861. A year ago a tumor appeared on his leg. It was
removed surgically two or three times but without avail, and finally resulted in his
death…
