Dearest husband, thou hast left me, Here thy loss, we deeply feel, But tis God, who haft bereft us He can all our sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee When the day of life is sped Then in Heaven we joy to greet thee Where no farewell tear is shed His relatives and friends and those of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from his late reidence on Seventh St., below the Germantown Road on Sunday afternoon, 16th instant at 1 o'clock -------------------- Philadelphia Public Ledger August 31, 1849 Page 2 On the 30th instant, ANN, daughter of Robert and Catherine Donnelly, aged 3 years The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral from her parents' residence, Marriott Street, above Fifth, on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock without further notice. --------------------- The Public Ledger May 4, 1850, page 2: "On Wednesday morning, the 1st last, Mrs. CATHARINE DONNELLY, widow of the late FREDERICK DONNELLY, in the 39th year of her age. "Dearest mother, thou hast left me, "Here thy loss we deeply feel; "Though 'tis God who has bereft me, "He can all our sorrows heal. "Dearest children, do not weep, "I am not dead, but here do sleep "Within this solid lump of clay "Until the resurrection day." "Her friends, and those of her family, the members of Green-Bird Council, of which she was a member, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from her late residence, in Seventh st., above Little Poplar, Cohocksink Village, on Sunday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, without further notice." NOTE:My 2d great grandparents, Frederick and Catherine Donnelly. Green Bird Council was part of the Green Hill Presbyterian Church.
