G., 119th P. V. Gray Reserves. Patriot, in they narrow bed, Warfare waging over they head, Thou, who at they country's call, Gave up **'e, home, loved ones all. O'er they grave shall thousands weep, Unmolested, quiet, sleep. Sleep! but soon a mighty nation, With recovered rights of station, Shall with iron wrath assailing, Sweep, with an avenging hand, Every traitor from the land. Sleep! thine was a death of glory, Sleep! thine was a mournful story. Shrined in every loyal heat, Shall thy memory ne'er depart; And upon the scroll of fame, Deep emblazoned by thy name- My brother.
