(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: October 21, 1871 Died, in Philadelphia, on Thursday, 12th instant, Rosanna, wife of Alfred C. Gibson, Esq. Her husband is well known by many of our citizens, and is a brother-in-law of Gen. M'Donald of this place. We take the following notice of her death and funeral ceremonies from the Philadelphia Catholic Standard: In Memoriam - On Monday last, 16th inst., the mortuary solemnities of Mrs. Rosanna Gibson took place in the Church of the Assumption. Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. David Kenrick, C. M., of Germantown, assisted by Rev. J. A. Gallagher as Deacon, and Rev. Father Wall, Subdeacon. The absolution of the body was given by Very Rev. Father Carter, V. G. who paid a well deserved tribute to the well known worth and merits of the deceased. The following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: Hon. James Campbell, Mark Wilcox, Charles A. Repplier, and Daniel M'Devitt. The deceased was a most exemplary lady, respected and esteemed by all who knew her.
