Jackson, a native of Saulsburg, Huntingdon County, died at 12:40 p. m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 1947, at his home, 6404 Webster Street, Philadelphia. Death followed a short illness. The son of William and Josephine (Forrest) Jackson, he was raised in Jackson Township. He was the brother of the late Anna and Bessie Jackson of Mc- Alevys Fort. His wife, Ida Jackson, is surviving as well as several cousins who live in this area. Mr. Jackson was a successful shoe merchant, He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and held the office of secretary-treasurer of the Retail Grocers Building and Loan Association in Philadelphia. The funeral service will be held in the Boohar funeral home, 314 South Fifty- second Street, Philadelphia, on Wednesday at 1 p. m. Interment will be made in Philadelphia.
