(Pittsburgh, Pa.): July 06, 1864 Died of small pox, in the hospital at Philadelphia Pa., March 7th, 1862, Edward G. Johnson, Co. M, 2d Pa. Cav., in the 21st. year of his age; brother of William J. Johnson, left Glade Run Academy in the Fall of 1861, and enlisted in defence of the cause which is dear to the heart of every true patriot. During the Winter, the Regiment was encamped near Philadelphia, and before it was called into active service, he was taken from the rank's and numbered with the dead.
