  KENNEDY.-Suddenly, on Saturday, December 26, 1896, JOHN, beloved
husband of Catherine Kennedy. The funeral will take place on Thursday
morning, at 8:30 o'clock, from his residence, 1530 Wood street.
  Thence to the Cathedral of sts. Peter and Paul, Eighteenth and Race
streets, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated for the happy
repose of his soul, at 10 o'clock precisely. Interment at Holy Cross
Cemetery.
   Relatives and friends of the family, also the members of League of the
Sacred Heart, the Cathedral Male T. A. B. Society, Mary Star of the
Sea Beneficial Association and Hoopes and Townsend Beneficial Association, 
also the employes and all other societies of which he was a member, are
respectfully invited to attend.
