2/27/1818  Poulson's American Daily Advertiser (Philadelphia)
Departed this life, on the 25th instant, Mr. PETER LAVELL, Ropemaker, of this
city.  He had lived, in principles and practice, a firm believer in the
restoration of every soul to holiness and happiness through a crucified
Redeemer.  This dispelled the shadows of the valleys, and led him to view that
radiant Mount beyond the Grave, where every creature shall finally join in hymns
of adoration and acclaim to celebrate the Lamb forever.  His friends and
acquaintances are desired to attend his funeral from his late dwelling, next to
the last Ropewalks, S Front street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
