LEWIS C. LEVIN.--- Hon. Lewis C. Levin, a distinguished politician of Philadelphia, died in that city on Wednesday the 7th inst. Mr. Levin was the leader of the old Native American party of Philadelphia so noted for its agency in the Kensington and Southwark riots in 1844. He was chosen by that party to Congress in 1845, from the first District, and continued there until 1851. Mr. Levin was also a distinguished temperance lecturer in his time. Of late years his mind has been affected and he recently spent a considerable period in the asylum. He was in his firth-second year.
