   LINK., OLIVER LINK, an eleven-year old, son of Mr. 
Martin Link, a beer saloon keeper, at No. 222 Race 
street, was drowned yesterday in the Delaware. He was 
fishing for bananas off ErricksonŐs wharf, on Delaware 
avenue, above Arch street, and, losing his balance, 
fell into the water. The alarm was given at once and 
every effort was made to effect a rescue, but the lad 
had been thirteen minutes in the water when he was 
taken out, and it was found impossible to resuscitate 
him. Dr. Keeler was summoned at once, but pronounced 
him dead when he was taken out of the river.
