He was fishing for bananas off ErricksonŐs wharf, on Delaware avenue, above Arch street, and, losing his balance, fell into the water. The alarm was given at once and every effort was made to effect a rescue, but the lad had been thirteen minutes in the water when he was taken out, and it was found impossible to resuscitate him.
