   Mr. SAMUEL C. PALMER, cashier of the Commercial National 
Bank, died on Wednesday, at his residence in this city, of 
typhoid fever, in the seventieth year of his age. He entered
the Commercial National Bank in 18*3, and was its cashier 
for over twenty-three years. He was a gentleman of cultivated 
intelligence, and was well knows for his personal and 
official integrity.
