Penn, aged ** years and 26 days. Dearest wife, thou hast left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel, But ‘tis God that hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. We saw her sufferings, heard her sighs, With throbbing heart and weeping eyes, But now she is calm and sleeps at last, All pain and suffering past. Weep not for me, my husband dear, I am not dead, but sleeping here, A sleep in Jesus—blessed sleep-- From which none ever wake to weep. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from her residence, No. *012 James street, Whitehall, Twenty third Ward, on Sunday afternoon, 13th instant, at 3 o'clock. To proceed to Cedar Hills Cemetery. This file is located at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/philadelphia/obits/p/penn-sa.txt
